Robert Plant to play Willie Nelson's Outlaw Music Festival Tour stop in September

Robert Plant is among the artists confirmed to take part in the second leg of Willie Nelson‘s third annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which takes place this September in various U.S. cities.

The Led Zeppelin singer and his current band, The Sensational Space Shifters, will perform at the tour’s September 20 stop in the Indianapolis suburb of Noblesville, Indiana. Also part of the lineup for that event is Alison Krauss, who collaborated with Plant on their Grammy-winning 2007 album, Raising Sand.

The newly announced leg of Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour currently includes seven dates and is scheduled to run from a September 6 show in Gilford, New Hampshire, through a September 22 event in Cincinnati. Krauss will perform at six of the concerts, while Bonnie Raitt is part of the lineup for five of the shows. Gov’t Mule, the group fronted by ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes, will play the September 13 event in Philadelphia.

Other artists on the bills include Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Avett Brothers, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

Tickets for the September leg of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. Citi card members be able to buy pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. local time.

The first leg of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour features eight dates, and runs from a June 14 concert in Bangor, Maine, through a July 3 show in Dallas. Phil Lesh & Friends will be performing at six of those events, while the various lineups also include Krauss, Counting Crows, The Avett Brothers, The Revivalists, Dawes, Steve Earle and others.
