With the official start of road construction season, the Berrien County Road Department is gearing up to begin work in Baroda, including a bridge replacement project.
Communications coordinator Adri Boone tells us the replacement of a bridge on Hollywood Road will commence on Monday, February 24.
“They’re going to first work to remove the existing bridge and then work to install the new bridge and that’s Hollywood Road at the Big Feather Drain,” Boone says.
The road closure is anticipated to last until the end of May, barring delays and weather. To avoid the closure, a detoured route will be signed directing traffic to take Linco Road to Lincoln Avenue to Hinchman Road.
