Congressman Tim Walberg says it’s time for federal workers to get back to the office.

Walberg has sent a letter to U.S. Department of Labor Acting Secretary Vince Micone urging that all department staff return to work in person.

Walberg is the new chair of the House Committee on Education and Workforce and says in his letter a memorandum from President Donald Trump on returning federal employees to in-person work “sets the stage for the Department of Labor to fulfill a request that Committee Republicans have been making consistently for more than three years.”

Walberg continues, “the Biden-Harris administration has slow-walked returning federal agencies to regular operations, and federal employees’ unions have attempted to impede all efforts to return to the office” while federal agencies failed to fulfill their responsibilities.

Five years since COVID shut the nation down, Walberg says it’s time to get back to normal.
