Lake Michigan College’s child care center are soon back to being operational.
At this month’s trustee board meeting, the college approved a contract from Scribbles Daycare out of South Haven.
LMC President Trevor Kubatzke tells us brining this back for students, faculty, and staff means alot.
“Child care is a struggle all over,” Kubatzke says. “We’re happy that that community can use us to bring their children out here. It’s a safe environment. They have a lot of access to a lot of things. So it is important to us. We’re glad that we could have this new partner with Scribbles out of South Haven.”
The center will operate as it did in the past, providing preschool and childcare to students, faculty, and local community at Lake Michigan College’s Benton Harbor and South Haven campuses.
Kutabzke notes that this is an initial five-year contract, that can extend year-by-year afterwards.
