A person reported missing this week in Allegan County has been found dead.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says dispatch received a call on Saturday asking for assistance finding a missing person whose vehicle had been found at Little John Park in Allegan. Evidence at the scene suggested the person may have gone into the lake, and efforts began to look for them.

On Monday, the person’s body was found in the lake.

Police say no foul play is suspected and the name of the person is not yet being released.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the search by the Allegan County Dive Rescue Team, the Michigan State Police Dive Rescue Team, Allegan County Central Dispatch, the Allegan Police Department, the Allegan Fire Department, the Hamilton Fire Department, and Life EMS.
