The 2024 Stuff a Truck event held by 97.5 Y-Country was a success this year.
The annual event held just this past week at Roger’s Foodland brought together communities and others to help support the Southwestern Michigan Community Action Agency.
SMCAA’s Yvonne Vidt tells us with the success, they can now help those in need.
“This money spent in the community,” Vidt says. “I’m going to go out shopping at Meijer and Roger’s. If this is the cause and it’s to buy those items, I’m definitely going to do that.”
The drive collected nonperishable food items, along with personal care products like tooth paste, deodorant, and hair products. Donations of all sizes, including $15,000 from Wolf Financial, will go right back to the community.
The week-long drive concluded on Saturday, with more than $20,000 raised already.
