This season’s first snowfall could come as early as tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Senior meteorologist Nathan Marsili tells us snow is on the horizon in the next 24 hours.
“We could have some lake effect snow showers develop here tonight,” Marsili says. “Accumulation should be pretty light, about a half inch or two if that. Tomorrow were looking for a more wide precipitation, a little mix of snow and then changing to rain in the afternoon.”
Rain showers are expected to start overnight and become mixed with snow heading into Thursday morning.
Marsili tells us there could be a burst of snow in the early morning, into the afternoon. Lake effect snow and rain are expected Thursday evening and possibly early Friday.
“There is a chance of mainly lake effect rain lingering into Friday, Friday night,” Marsili says. “Then it should be dry until we get to late Sunday night, early Monday.”
Remember to drive with caution as visibility could be affected during morning commutes.
