If you missed your chance this season to take a ride on the Eden Springs Park Halloween miniature train, you’re in luck. The rides are being extended to one more Friday.

Eden Springs Park Preservationists group President Gordon Reay says the train rides have seen record numbers of ridership this year, so they’re extending the schedule.

“We decided because there’s been so many people turned out that we would add an extra night this coming Friday, the 1st of November, starting at 5pm, just to give families another opportunity if they haven’t already been able to come out to see us.”

Reay says the train rides are helping fund the restoration and preservation of the park.

“It helps us generate funds for the restoration work that we try to do at the park, which was part of the House of David at one point in time, but now it’s a 501c3 non-profit organization and we’re all volunteers. So it’s our way of giving back to the community.”

The train rides will happen this Friday, 5 pm to 8 pm, or until the line is gone. Tickets are $5 per person and children under the age of 3 ride for free.

Eden Springs Park is at 789 M-139 in Benton Harbor.
