Are you concerned about climate change? That was the focus at the University of Michigan Thursday.

The fifth Michigan Climate Summit was held to talk about the need for urgent climate action.

U of M Climate Action Engagement Director Liesl Clark says she thinks people in the state understand the effects of climate change.

Michiganders have been deeply impacted by the changing weather cycles and by the weather weirding that’s happened,” Clark said. “Just look at the storms over the last few months here in Michigan, but certainly over the last couple of years where we’ve had more and more damage because we’ve had larger amounts of rainfall coming in shorter periods of time.”
