Are you happy at work? What would make you happy? A new survey takes a look at what people need in a job.

In the survey of more than 1,000 workers in the U.S., staffing firm Robert Half found what workers want most is flexibility. However, the company’s Shannon Edlinger says they want other things too.

“Coming in at 27% of U.S. workers, competitive salary with regular merit increases,” Edlinger said. “Throughout Robert Half’s survey, we did see a trend in U.S. workers, not only wanting a competitive salary, but the opportunity to grow.”

Edlinger says workers also want a positive work culture and team dynamic. She says managers should be asking employees what it would take to make them happy on the job.
