D’Agostino’s Navajo Bar and Grille in Bridgman will celebrate the completion of a renovation project this week.
The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber’s Sarah Spoonholtz tells us the restaurant has been working to modernize its interior with new paint, booths, lighting, and an adjusted layout.
“This kind of started a few years ago when they redid and actually created an outdoor patio space,” Spoonholtz said. “Since then, they’ve been able to redo both the bar side and the dining side. So they took something that has been an institution in Southwest Michigan, going back even before it was a restaurant and being the Navajo Trading Post and Zoo, and they kept a lot of its roots intact, but just given it a fresh and modern remodel.”
Spoonholtz says D’Agostino’s wanted to honor its history as the Navajo Trading Post and Zoo, which once welcomed travelers heading between Detroit, Northwest Indiana, and Chicago. The popular stop went through multiple changes over the years before turning into the restaurant.
D’Agostino’s will hold a ribbon cutting for the improvements on Thursday at 4 p.m. Everyone’s invited to stop by and check out the new look and maybe have some dinner.
