Michigan is becoming one of the nation’s leaders in renewable energy projects, as well as in the amount of jobs being created by renewable energy projects.

U.S. Representatives Haley Stevens and Debbie Dingell joined the Clean Energy REVolution Tour last Friday, which made a stop in front of Michigan Central Station in Detroit. Stevens says the U.S. is competing with other global powers when it comes to renewable energy.

Billions of new investments in electric vehicles and battery manufacturing here in Metro Detroit,” Stevens said. “It’s ensuring that we continue to be at the forefront and at the center of the electric future, of the zero emissions future. We are in a global competition. We need to harness these technologies. We don’t want to be left out. We want to be moving forward.”

The tour also made stops in Flint, Lansing, and Grand Rapids.
