Governor Gretchen Whitmer is calling on supporters of President Biden to stick together to get him re-elected.

The governor gave a ten minute speech Wednesday morning at the National NAACP convention in Las Vegas.

We are destined to have a terrible outcome if we give up and tune out,” Whitmer said. “We are possible to make sure that this country moves forward and that every person is seen and respected and protected under the law, and that people have to follow the law, and that we are creating opportunity when we do this work together.”

Whitmer called on supporters to stay focused on what has been done to help people, including offering more affordable housing, cutting taxes for senior citizens, and fixing the roads.

Whitmer also told a story about meeting a mother from Flint who was driving to a Detroit hospital each day to be with her son and having her car break down due to the poor roads.
