Wilson tells ABC Audio that she also had been lining up a Heart trek for later in 2020, but that too, unfortunately, has been postponed.

“The first part of the year was going to be Ann Wilson of Heart, spring and early summer,” she explains, “[A]nd then, there was going to be a Heart tour across Canada in the fall.”

The 69-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer also reports she was planning to focus on Heart in 2021, while hinting that the band intends to mark its 50th anniversary in a big way in 2023.

“That’s still gonna happen,” Wilson adds. “We just don’t know what form it’s gonna take now.”

Ann also recently revealed to ABC Audio that she’s been working on a pair of new solo songs called “Black Wing” and “As the World Turns,” but what about new Heart material?

She says that she and her sister and co-founding Heart member, guitarist Nancy Wilson, “have not gotten together on writing this time yet,” while noting, “It may happen.”

Meanwhile, Ann says she’s been enjoying some of the performances that various artists have been posting from their homes while self-isolating during the health crisis, although she hasn’t done any herself. She notes that the format allows musicians to present their talent without any “artifice.”

“[N]obody’s got the big makeup on, the big hair on,” Wilson maintains. “No one’s got their fantastical costumes on or anything like that. There’s no lights or production. They’re all brought into the same level. And it’s really interesting who…shines.”
