Michigan residents plan to take a trip this year, 84% of us, according to a new AAA survey.
AAA’s Adrienne Woodland says many of those will be taking a trip for spring break.
“About a fifth of Michiganders are planning to travel during spring break,” Woodland said. “Interestingly, when that’s compared to all other holidays and timeframes, spring break was one of the most popular timeframes to travel, according to our recent survey.”
Woodland says AAA travel agents are busy planning a wide range of trips from weekend getaways to world cruises. She says it’s a good idea to make your plans soon with so much demand.
Woodland says top international destinations include Rome, London, Paris, Amerstdam, and Lisbon. The most popular destinations for Michigan spring breakers are the beach, a road trip, a city, or a theme park.
