Love is in the air with Valentine’s Day here, but what makes you love your job?
In a survey of 2,000 U.S. employees, staffing firm Robert Half found the top things they love are a competitive salary with regular merit increases, a reasonable workload, and a positive work culture and team dynamic. Robert Half’s Shannon Edlinger told us more.
“We’re looking at hybrid schedules, flexibility,” Edlinger said. “76% of the 2,000 U.S. professionals surveyed by Robert Half said that is so important to them for not only retention, but also looking into new positions in the 2025 market.”
Edlinger says employees also want a supportive manager and opportunities for career advancement. She says three in ten will look for a new job in the first half of this year, so retention is more important than ever.
