The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber is planning a business roundtable in Lincoln Township.

The chamber’s Sarah Spoonholtz tells us the event is specifically for Lincoln Township businesses, and it will be broken into two parts. The first will be a meet and greet with the newly elected Lincoln Township government.

You’re going to be able to actually sit down and meet the incoming leadership for Lincoln Township. So that includes the new supervisor, Glen Youngstedt, the new clerk, Mike Brown, and the new manager, Ralph Bansen,” Spoonholtz said. “The second part of it though, is an opportunity for business owners who are in Lincoln Township — and even that also covers the village of Stephensville — to share what is important to you, to their businesses, and really help shape what exactly the township can to better support local businesses.”

Spoonholtz says the roundtable is intended to engage local business owners in open dialogue about key issues affecting the greater Stevensville business community. Attendees will have an opportunity to share what matters most to their businesses, discuss ongoing challenges, and propose ideas for future growth with local government.

There has been talk lately of establishing a Stevensville Community and Growth Alliance, or CGA, and that could also come up.

The roundtable will be on Wednesday, February 5 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Lincoln Township Hall. Those who attend are asked to register, which can be done right here.
