We’re seeing temperatures in the teens and single digits in Michigan and AAA Michigan has issued a statewide Arctic Air Advisory.

AAA of Michigan spokesperson Adrienne Woodland has some advice when it comes to your vehicle.

“It’s really important to keep your gas tank at least half full to avoid a gas line freeze up,” Woodland said. “Batteries can have issues in this weather, so it’s really important to have a charging system. Have your battery charging system tested to ensure it’s fully charged and in good condition.”

Woodland says they do expect to see a jump in calls for dead batteries and other problems over the next couple of days.
