Thousands of students are on winter break for a couple weeks and there are plenty of things to do.
Travel Michigan’s Nick Nerbooone says with winter arriving last weekend and snow on the ground, most people aren’t afraid to hit the roads and find a winter activity to keep busy during the holiday break.
“People do drive distances to get to those types of activities, whether it’s Gaylord or Petoskey Harbor Springs area and Traverse City and even into the Upper Peninsula, people are willing to drive for that winter fun,” Nerboone said.
Nerboone adds there are plenty of fun day trips around the state. He says local ski resorts are open and ready to welcome visitors.
