Set for this Saturday is Animal Aid of Southwest Michigan’s Christmas Howliday Open House in St. Joseph.

Animal Aid’s Becky Cooper tells us they’ll be set up at the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library from noon to 3 p.m. with fun activities and information on the organization and pet adoption.

We will have gifts available, we’ll have your classic bake sale, we’ll have cake and punch for everybody, and that’s free of charge,” Cooper said. “We’ll have foster animals there. It’s a dog-friendly event, so on your way to a Reindog Parade, you can stop in.”

Jim Dudley, an award-winning Elvis impersonator, will also be on hand.

He’ll be strolling around and meeting guests and doing selfies and putting on a little bit of entertainment for our guests.”

Cooper says Santa will also be there doing the same, and they’ll have a silent auction. Available items will include a golf package from Harbor Shores and restaurant certificates.

With the Reindog Parade going on in downtown St. Joseph at 3 p.m. Saturday, the Howliday Open House will make a great stop for animal lovers and those in search of a furry forever friend. Everyone’s invited.
