Heading up north isn’t just a summer tradition. Caroline Rizzo with Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City says they’re busy during the holidays too.

“The holidays are very busy, starting with Thanksgiving,” Rizzo said. “We do a Thanksgiving brunch buffet at the resort. And then that weekend, of course, kicks off all of our shopping deals in our gallery of shops in our pro shop, where we have a lot of great 30 to 50% off items, whether it’s brands like the North Face or Lowly and Brighton to all of the even local favorite products as well. So, a great place to come and do your holiday and Christmas shopping.”

New at the resort this year — you will soon be able to book and stay in the Touchdown Room. It’s part of their partnership with the Detroit Lions. You can stay in a Lions-themed room with the Detroit skyline, pieces of Ford Field and more.
