Berrien RESA is planning a winter celebration for families this December.
RESA Parent Engagement Coordinator Laura Robinson tells us Welcome Winter has been held each December for about ten years now. It’s a change for the parents of children ages zero to five to bring their littles ones down to the RESA Administrative Center in Berrien Springs for a variety of fun activities.
“We have arts and crafts and just all kinds of different activities that are appropriate for different age groups because it’s quite a range from babies up to five years old,” Robinson said. “So there’s something for everyone.”
Robinson says they’ll have stories, snacks, and singing with special guests that include the characters from Frozen. Oh, and Santa will be there, too.
Winter Welcome will have two days of fun. Families are invited to stop in either on Thursday, December 5 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or Friday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Robinson says they usually get around 300 people across the two days.
Everyone’s invited and Welcome Winter is free to attend.
