Set for November 23 is a day of holiday magic in Niles.
The Niles District Library and Niles History Center are teaming up to hold a Christmas celebration at the library.
The Niles History Center says Santa will make his annual visit to the community with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in tow. They’ll arrive with a special police escort and then Santa will be available to meet with youngsters from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free tickets are required to meet Santa, and they will be available through November 22. They can be picked up at the Niles District Library.
Visitors to the Christmas event can meet live reindeer, courtesy of the Reindeer Ranch in Kalamazoo, and everyone can check out John Dudley’s Merry Magic Show. Kids can also enjoy the magic of the season with a scavenger hunt or a take-home craft, and they can stop by the Friends of the Library Book Sale cart and find a gift.
Finally, everyone’s reminded the Fort St. Joseph Museum and Historic Chapin Mansion will be all dressed up for the holidays, decorated by community groups in the theme for the year, which is Sweet Holiday Memories. All are invited to come and take a look.
