Bertrand Road in Bertrand Township will be undergoing a road improvement project starting next week.
The Berrien County Road Department will be widening the road followed by a resurfacing on Bertrand Road between US-31 and Portage Road.
Road department spokesperson Adri Boone tells us there will be intermittent lane closures starting Monday, Nov. 4.
“During construction activities, there will be one lane closed with one lane open to traffic. The traffic flow will be permitted in both directions, but that’s going to be controlled by flaggers.”
The public should expect some traveling delays while work is taking place. Boone says there could be some project delays but it is all dependent on weather.
The majority of the work is expected to take place all next week, with the project anticipated to be complete by Friday, Nov. 8.
