SHOUT for South Haven is recognizing three residents for their hard volunteer efforts for more than a decade.
LaRae and Mark Odland, and Sue Cunnigham were all honored by SHOUT president Robert Copping and South Haven mayor Annie Brown at a recent city council meeting.
Copping said these three have helped out with several projects for many years.
“Voting in an election every four years is one thing, but with community service, when you’re donating your time, you’re voting every day to make a community better. And these people have done an excellent job.”
Over the past decade, the Odlands have coordinated the spring planting and maintenance of flowers on Dyckman drawbridge and the decorating of the bridge for the holidays.
Cunningham has helped manage the popular SHOUT cottage walk, among other things.
During the meeting, Mayor Brown presented a resolution of appreciation on behalf of SHOUT and the three members.
