A Berrien Springs dentist has been named the president of the Michigan Dental Association.

Dr. Todd Christy officially assumed the role in April following an MDA delegates meeting. The organization says Christy is a dedicated leader with a passion for the dental profession who brings extensive experience and a commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by Michigan dentists to the job.

In his role as MDA president, Christy’s priorities include addressing workforce challenges faced by the dental industry, supporting MDA legislative efforts, and enhancing member engagement. He says the dental profession is facing significant challenges, but he believes the MDA has the vision to see members through tough times.
