Less than two weeks away from Election Day, former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney was in Detroit Tuesday campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Talking with ABC Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl, Cheney spoke about false information being spread on social media. Karl asked her about Elon Musk falsely claiming there are more registered voters in Michigan than people.

“I think that we are going to see more of this,” Cheney said. “And that, by the way, includes foreign adversaries who are trying to push these lies. They will use X. So as the weeks go on as we get towards the election, X is going to become even more of a cesspool of disinformation.”

Cheney, who served as Vice Chair of the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, describes Donald Trump as “dangerous and unfit” for office.

Trump and Harris are both expected to campaign in Michigan on Saturday.
