Berrien County Road Department announced the Glenlord Road and Lincoln Avenue intersection will be closed starting Thursday for paving related operations.

Road department’s Adri Boone tells us more.

“The intersection of Glenlord Road and Lincoln Avenue will have a total closure in place Thursday and Friday to get that paved back. It will still continue to have a road closure on the Glenlord section, so that’s east of Lincoln as it has been for the last couple of weeks, until that portion is completed.”

That intersection will be back to normal traffic on Saturday, but parts of Glenlord Road will continue to stay under construction until possibly the end of November.

“The segment of Glenlord that’s under construction there to the east of Lincoln, that’s still ongoing some work. So there will still be a closure there from the Lincoln Avenue to Michelle Drive intersection on Glenlord. They’re hoping to get that all completed and also paved in before the end of November, but that’s going to be entirely subject to work progression and the weather permitting.”

Commuters will need to take a detoured route which is Marquette Woods Road to Washington Avenue to Maiden Lane back to Lincoln or Marquette Woods Road to Hollywood Road to Maiden Lane back to Lincoln Avenue.
