An 18-year-old from Paw Paw is facing charges in a sextortion case.

Michigan State Police say Christian Andreas Crane was arraigned this week on four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct in once case and third degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim between the age of 13 and 15 in a second case. That case was investigated by the Decatur Police Department.

State police say, “Becoming a victim of sextortion is a life-changing experience and should not be taken lightly.” They’re asking the public to report any additional cases involving the same suspect.

State police also tell parents to talk to their kids about the dangers of internet interactions and to make sure they understand the implications of compromising photos winding up online.
