Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is coming to Benton Harbor.
Holder will speak at a rally in support of Michigan Supreme Court candidates Kyra Harris Bolden and Kimberly Ann Thomas on October 29. The Berrien County Democratic Party’s Angela Bell tells us Holder is supporting the two because they would rule in favor of all Michigan residents.
Bolden is currently on the court, having been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and is now seeking a full term. Thomas would be new to the court if elected.
Bell says the Black Mayors Association and the Democratic Party have teamed up to make Holder’s visit possible. She says recent events have shown just how important judges are and everyone should research which judges they’re going to be voting for.
Holder’s appearance in Benton Harbor on the 29th will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and its location hasn’t yet been announced. The event will be open to everyone who registers, and you can register right here.
Holder was Attorney General during the Obama administration.
