The annual Classic and Antique Car Cruise-In will once again take over the parking lot of Martin’s Supermarket in Stevensville this coming Tuesday to benefit the United Way of Southwest Michigan.

The United Way’s Dawn Howley tells us the annual event, sponsored by 1st Source Bank and Martin’s Supermarket, has been bringing together car enthusiasts and families for more than a decade.

It involves lots of amazing cars, free food, which of course we hope that you’ll make a donation for, and lots of kids stuff,” Howley said. “Face painting, there’s going to be a cake walk, there’s going to be incredible prizes for the best car and the best paint job, which people get to vote on. It’s just always been an incredible event.”

Howley says in addition to cool cars, there will be some emergency response vehicles and tractors. DJ Zack East will provide music and they’ll have a raffle. She says available food will include hotdogs, chips, cookies, popsicles, popcorn, and pop, generously provided by local vendors. Again, those who have a bite to eat are asked to make a donation to the United Way.

The car show itself is free to attend and is part of the Martin’s and 1st Source United Way campaigns. The event will be in the Martin’s parking lot from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
