A new season of the Niles Scream Park begins Friday. The park will open its doors for 2024 at 8 p.m. with a slew of new attractions.

Niles Scream Park co-founder Pete Karlowicz tells us they change things up each year, but this year is special. He says they’ve discontinued the haunted hayrides and replaced them with a new outdoor attraction called the Wicked Woods.

One word tells it all, creepy,” KArlowicz said. “It’s a creepy, dark walk in the woods. This setting is back in 1690, and there’s a group of these people that are stuck in that age, and they’re being invaded by people from our time. And they’re not happy about it.”

Those 1690s dwellers may have some thoughts about witchcraft.

Karlowicz says the Niles Scream Park is a non-profit that has helped countless other non-profits throughout Southwest Michigan in its 51 years of scares.

We have approximately 65 non-profit type groups that work there. The people work, their hours are kept track of, and then we make a donation to their group based on their hours and the success of the project for that year.”

Karlowicz says other new attractions this year are Pirates of Siren Seas, which will test your sea legs, and Viciously Voodoo, set in New Orleans.

The Niles Scream Park will be open each weekend through the first weekend of November, and they’re expecting around 40,000 guests for the season.
