With the amount of advertising reaching children on social media, there’s a growing concern products containing Delta-9 THC will end up in the hands of kids.

Jerry Millen is the owner of the Greenhouse of Walled Lake, a marijuana dispensary. He’s among those concerned.

We need Dana Nessel to shut this down,” Millen said. “Because kids can get marijuana through the internet, ordered, it’s advertised to kids. It’s crazy what’s going on right now, and because of the politics that’s going on in our world, this story is getting ignored.”

According to the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency website, Delta-9 THC is already strictly regulated inside of the state and not allowed to be sold without proper licensing. However, Millen says that’s not stopping many from shipping to Michigan, saying they’re using a federal loophole. Although it may not be legal, Millen says it’s still happening and needs more attention.
