Early voting for the August 6 primaries is now underway.

The Michigan Secretary of State’s office says the early voting started today, Saturday, July 27  and will continue through August 4.

In Berrien County, the early voting sites are Lake Michigan College in Benton Township for those living in the northern half of the county and the Berrien County South Building in Niles for those living in the south half of the county. However, if you live in Bainbridge Township or Benton Township, the township office is where you should go to vote early because those two townships have opted to handle the early voting themselves.

In Van Buren County, the early voting location is the Human Services West Building on County Road 681 in Hartford.

In Cass County, the early voting location is the Cass County Road Commission in Cassopolis.

In November 2022, Michigan voters approved Proposal 2, a constitutional amendment giving voters the right to early voting for at least nine days before statewide and federal elections. Those interested in early voting should remember to bring an ID.
