An Indiana man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Cass County on Saturday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 3:30 p.m. near Dailey Road and Jefferson Center Street in Jefferson Township.

Deputies called to the scene found the 22-year-old Granger man had been northbound on Daily Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit several trees on the east side of the road.

The motorcycle came to rest down an embankment and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet, and police say it appears speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
