Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist is calling on Democrats to rally around President Biden.

Despite worry since Biden’s poor debate performance, Gilchrist says Biden was clear and forceful during a stop in Detroit last week.

“It’s time to get on board,” Gilchrist said. “It’s time for us to move forward. It’s time for us to recognize and build on the progress that we have made. We have a lot of talent in the Democratic Party. That means we’ll be able to make that progress for years to come.”

Gilchrist says he’s fully behind Biden.

The lieutenant governor spoke this week in Wayne County, touting tuition-free higher education opportunities in the state.
