The Smashing Pumpkins are invading your city — again.
Billy Corgan and company have announced the Rock Invasion 2 U.S. tour, the sequel to the band’s 1993-1994 Rock Invasion tour.
The spring outing, which will focus mostly on the Midwest and Southeast, kicks off April 23 in Louisville, Kentucky, and will come to a close May 8 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
“It’s been a good while since we’ve played a straight up, bare knuckle rock and roll show; one that avoids little in the way of raw power,” Corgan says in a statement. “So note: this tour won’t be for those faint of heart, and will certainly echo the dynamic modes in which we built our live reputation.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local time. For the full list of dates and all ticket info, visit SmashingPumpkins.com.
Following the Rock Invasion dates, the Pumpkins will be opening select dates on the Guns N’ Roses summer North American tour.
