Red Hot Chili Peppers to play Abu Dhabi show ahead of UFC fight

Credit: Steve KerosRed Hot Chili Peppers have announced a one-off show in Abu Dhabi on September 4.

The concert is part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, seven days of events leading up the UFC 242 fight, held September 7 in the United Arab Emirates capital.

The Chili Peppers will be playing a number of international dates this summer, including stops in Japan and Singapore. They’ll be back in the U.S. for a September 29 headlining performance at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California.

Additionally, the band has begun work on a new album, the follow-up to 2016’s The Getaway.
